Q: Are there any special instructions for washing the comforter?
A: We recommend that you use low sudsing “green” detergent (for baby and the environment), machine on a delicate or “hand wash” cycle in cold water. Warm or hot water can turn the inner wool layer into felt, which would feel dense and shrink the outer surfaces of the comforter. If your little one puts a stain on the comforter that is particularly dark, as really really might happen, dab on a bit of detergent a few hours before and then wash as usual. The comforters in our family that are now many years old are still pristine off white, despite baby stains : }
For drying, lay the comforter flat until just damp and then finish it in dryer on delicate setting. After some time, a lot of people just dry their comforters in the dryer on delicate cycle.
Q: What are washing recommendations for the light weight comforter and baby sleep sack.
A: They can be washed similarly as the comforter but don’t have to be air dried for a few hours. All our products have well indicated care labels.
Q: Are the hand ties really hand tied?
A: Yes they are and if one breaks, which has thus far never happened, just match the embroidery thread color and make a new one.
Q: Can I have a zipper put in a baby sleep sack rather than buttons.
A: Sure. The original sleep sacks had zippers so if that is your preference, just let us know.
